Removing the pass-through and hallway walls opened the space, flooded it with light from the foyer and expanded the visual width of the condo.
This kitchen project is a prime example of space expansion. Borrowing two feet from the dining area allowed for extra space in the kitchen, a larger pantry and more storage cabinets. The remaining space became part of the great room expanding its function and size. An elliptically shaped bar was added for daily use and as a buffet for parties.
We removed the existing ceiling to install new recessed lighting and a semi-flush drum-shaped light fixture. Repositioning the sink and dishwasher created more counter space. New recessed lighting and a drum-shaped fixture brighten the space. An expandable table was added for extra seating.
New dark engineered hardwood floors in the Kitchen, Foyer, Hallway and Great Room add visual continuity and ease of maintenance. Painted and glazed upper cabinets paired with stained wood lower cabinets add visual height to the kitchen and spark a more eclectic feel.
